Deanna Proach graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Northern British Columbia in 2008. She initially trained to become a teacher, but decided, in her last year of post-secondary education training, to pursue a career in writing instead.
Since then, Proach has written two novels: DAY OF REVENGE (Inkwater Press) and TO BE MARIA (will be released on Amazon Kindle May 1, 2013). She has also written numerous articles for web and print: her writing has appeared in SoUneque Magazine, ConversationsLIVE Magazine and Supporting Authors One Read at a Time e-zine. In October 2012, Proach launched a new blog titled, Crusades and Crusaders, a book blog that chronicles the history of the Crusades and the people who played a major role in these wars for the Holy Land.
Proach has recently enrolled in the travel journalism course through MatadorU. She aspires, through this program, to get her foot in the door of travel writing.
When she’s not writing, Proach is actively involved in her local theatre community as an actress where she resides in Sechelt, British Columbia. She has been a member of the Driftwood Players Story Theatre troupe for three years and enjoys every moment of it.
